Here are some FAQs
We go out daily shooting at various places but more importantly:
1. Photographers and admin/mods from different countries/forums get to know one another better, so that we can eventually develop more cross forums and cross border programs which will enhance regional friendships through our common love, which is photography
2. We have total photography immersion ..... every year, we eat, sleep and errhmm... everything photography
3. We learn about different cultures, habits, shooting styles of different countries, and customs.
4. There will be a photo sharing sessions where we try to learn from each other.
Do I need to be a Pro or admin/mod in order to participate?
NO, but just over half of the available places allocated to each country, will be reserved for Admins, Mods and Forum members and helpers who have been active in their respective forums. The rest of the available places are usually offered to the the general membership on a selection basis from those who have indicated an interest to participate. The criteria for being selected will usually be based on how active you have been in participating in Fotografer.net activities this year, online and offline. And from this group, the focus of the selection committee will be to identify people who would be good ambassadors for Fotografer.net. As places are limited, no wives and husbands will usually be allowed, unless both husbands and wives are active members in their own right.
Is participating in a CB program expensive?
Actually NO. This is a strictly non-profit program and participants pay a land cost that covers
- daily twin sharing accomodations (3-4 star accomodations)
- all meals (proper restauraunts)
- all transport and sea transfers
- all local taxes, admission fees, local guides' fees opening and closing dinners
This year's trip is 8 days (7 nights) and includes a domestic internal flight as well as inter-island ferry transfers
How do I get there?
You will need to buy a round trip plane ticket at your own cost, to get to the start point, which is Cebu City, Philippines, and be there on or by the start date of the official program, which begins 18 Nov 2010, and leave on 25 Nov 2010, which is the last day of the official program, which is detailed in the following post.
Note: As this trip will be ended on Thursday, I might extend the trip till Sunday. Options for extension are Manila and Cebu, but I would prefer Manila as it has direct flight from Ilo-ilo and to Jakarta rather than Cebu. Some Singaporeans have plan to extend theirs in Cebu if you are interested to join. All extension plan is at your own cost and your own responsibility.
How do I register?
